Oventrop GmbH & Co. KG has developed the OVapp, an application designed to assist in the execution and documentation of hydronic balancing for heating systems. This tool enables users—be it on-site, during consultations, or in an office environment—to calculate the preset values of Oventrop thermostatic valves and regulating pipeline valves effortlessly with their smartphones or tablets. Additionally, the app offers a simplified heating load calculation in accordance with DIN EN 12831-B3 and facilitates radiator sizing using DIN standards.
The OVapp meets the requirements of procedure A and B outlined in the VdZ form for hydronic balancing under the Federal Funding for Efficient Buildings (BEG) program for existing structures. Notably, procedure B is applicable when utilizing Q-Tech thermostatic valves equipped with flow control. Calculations performed within the app can be documented via PDF files or printed wirelessly, ensuring that the VdZ form is automatically populated according to user inputs.
Moreover, the app integrates with the OV-DMC 3 measuring system, which aids in adjusting and controlling heating and cooling systems. Users can conduct pressure measurements effortlessly with the app and associated measuring sensor, allowing for accurate determination of flow values and presetting of desired volume flows.
The ErP wizard feature allows users to create energy efficiency labels for Oventrop products related to solar thermal energy. Additionally, users have access to an extensive manufacturer product database from VdZ that features ErP-relevant products.
